BEAUTIFUL FAMILY PORTRAITS IN RURAL DARWIN

This beautiful family wanted their family portraits done in Rural darwin. We found the most idilic spot not far from Darwin. This state forest is a little gem hidden away amongst giant rocks with a little stream. A waterfall as the backdrop with moss covered rocks… The wardrobe selection for this family were so complimenting for this gorgeous spot. Wouldn’t you agree?

When it comes time to preparing for your own family session, I guide you through the process so you don’t feel lost at all. After the location has been chosen we then talk about clothing. Clothing choices are very important for family sessions, as other sessions. I highly suggest clothing for each family member that has the same tone, not necessarily colour. Please, and this is very important, be wary of stripes, plaid, words and logos on your family’s clothing. These things can be a distraction from your beautiful family. Try to Chose 1-3 colours for your group portrait, ones with similar tones that compliment together and have everyone work within that colour palette. 

I recommend Mum chooses her outfit and have the family work around her! Mum’s always look so beautiful in flowing dresses, it creates movement and elegance to the family portraits. Stunning! For children alone, light paste colours are magical. Coordinate but don’t match!!! Oh, and bare feet are great for family sessions too. 

We all had such a wonderful afternoon. Mum and Dad watching their children climb over rocks and through the stream. It was such a special afternoon. I couldn’t wait to get home and see all these gorgeous images and then share them with you all. I know Mum and Dad are proud to have these special memories.
